Training for the Safety Passport can be obtained for a fraction of the current cost and the course is delivered in a way that will allow you to do it anywhere at any time. “Here’s a tried and tested e-learning training product which will make current methods obsolete. I have no doubt about that” stated the CEO of Protect Life health and safety consultants.
Now safety passport training can be obtained via computer based training. The course is cleverly stored on a USB stick / Flash drive . Once plugged in: it automatically guides the user into taking the course module by module. The candidate can stop and start at any point . After successful completion of all the required modules the user is asked to complete a short on screen form which is sent via the internet to EMSS, they then issue a credit card sized pass which the candidate can present to an employer as proof of successfully completing the Safety passport course.
This safety passport scheme is supported by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), EMSS, The National Skills Academy, NEPIC, The University of Teesside, NESHEP and a large number of National / Multi-national organisations. This training is of interest and is applicable to both private and public sector organisations even members of the general public can add to their re-sellable skills set by taking it.
Some traditional courses that deliver the comparable levels of safety skill are classroom based and are delivered over two days. The traditional alternatives are much more expensive and offer less flexibility. Persons wishing to verify the validity of any particular EMSS Safety Passport can simply log into a secure portal. Verification can be attained in seconds.
Advantages of getting safety passport training this way:
- Course can be taken anywhere any time for a fraction of the cost (other providers can charge up to £400 + accommodation for each candidate - this new product costs £79.99 +vat);
- This way of taking the course means that your network band width is not impacted and the memory stick is certified as being virus free by COMODO (Your IT department and security team will be pleased);
- Course can be delivered in less than half the current time and can be taken in small chunks hence less resource time is required and you don’t need to take the attendee away from ‘business as usual’ tasks for the full duration of the course;
- Get contractors working straight away - Instead of having to turn contractors away because they do not have a safety passport or they have no proof that they have successfully attended Safety Passport training. Now you can simply give them this memory stick and tell them to complete the course with immediate effect. They can be approved within five hours;
- Employers have a sanctioned, auditable, approved method for ensuring that all their staff have successfully undertaken National Safety Passport training.

Are you thinking about renting a car in South Africa? Well take a few minutes to read through this short but informative review and you will be glad you did. Whether you are looking for the best cheap car rental in South Africa or any other information pertaining to this subject you will find really good info below.
Car hire in South Africa has recently seen an upward turn due to the increase in tourism and general booming local economy within the past 4 years. This means that as more and more people were renting cars more rental companies came up to offer improved service. Such that today the industry is no longer dominated by few players like Avis, Hertz, Imperial or Tempest but there are other companies to consider.
Let me provide you with some few tips and useful information about the car rental in South Africa including Cape Town airport car hire information that is usful. This will come in handy once you get in contact with any of the agents located all over the country even if you are are tying to find a Hermanus car rental service or anywhere else in Mzanzi, as it is known to the locals.
I know for a fact that many companies have affiliations with rental companies in South Africa. So before you book a one try to find out if your company does not have any association with any of the vehicle rental agencies in the country. These relationships have proven very economical for staff traveling to the country.
Like in most countries, you do have an option for a collision damage waiver. You can opt out of this if you will. What could differ in South Africa when compared to other countries is that you do need to first send in a copy of your insurance policy, which will have details stating that hire cars are well covered to the car hire companies’ insurance department and have approval first. Truth is, only a few people bother to do this.
Then there is the theft protection, which I recommend you take up due to the increased crime rate in the country. This is one thing that affects car hire in South Africa - amongst other issues. Not to scare you or anything but it is better to be on the safer side than to regret later.

I remember quite clearly the day my friend asked me to go with her to buy a phone for her car. I asked her why she hadn’t considered getting a cellular phone. She had never heard of one, but thought that would be a much better idea than one that was contained within her car. Though cell phones were not new then, they were new to most people. Those phones and that service was very simple back then, and when compared to the wireless communications that we have today, technology is moving along at a very fast pace.
What you can accomplish via wireless communications today is a lot more than just five years ago. If you have a laptop computer in your home, there is no need to worry about hooking it up to your Internet connection. You can get wireless routers that hook you up with little effort. You can usually use your own Internet service within so many feet of your home with this as well. When you travel with your computer, you have some spots that offer free wireless communications. This is often called WiFi. You can usually find this in many hotels, cafes, and many book stores. Some communities have this in their downtown area for anyone who wants to use it.
Get more information on other types of communications technology such as GPS at the preceding link. Several communcation technologies are discussed on that site.
Other wireless communications revolves around what the cellular phone of today can do. There are other means of this communication that are wireless, and these devices can do much of what a cell phone does, with perhaps a few more useful applications. This form of wireless communications now allows you to do almost everything that you can do on your home computer, at least as far as the Internet is concerned. You can check email, surf the Web, do online banking, and so much more, right from your personal cellular phone.
When it comes to wireless communications, the device you choose is important, but you should also consider the provider that you choose. You want one that offers you a wide coverage area for your wireless communications, as well as one that offers all of the latest phones and devices. You should think about price, and what is included in each contract, or if prepaid the way to go for you. Take time to consider your options so you know you are getting the very best that is out there. Just remember, things move quickly, so you may want to reevaluate each year.

Individuals who have used memory foam beds think that this is in truth a blessing which they have been praying for. Most of these have seen major improvements in their sleep but it isn’t the answer to every predicament. It can only so much for the reason that it only provides short-term relief to those suffering from sleep disorders and back or hip pain. Examination has shown that it can make a considerable difference within a week of use.
Thousands of doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths worldwide will still suggest this to their patients and the reasons for this are several. By adjusting it’s form to the shape of the user, it is logically more comfortable providing a superior nights snooze. Thus the user would not sense any specific point under pressure as occurs while using spring mattresses. This also means that problems of sore areas and endless movement at night are eliminated so the sleep is more soothing.
You may be inclined to reject all this but all it takes to be persuaded is a brief tryout which should prove the point to you. You ought to note though that aspect like weight relief is a concrete benefit, but benefits like comfort which the memory foam mattress provides is elusive and can not be calculated. Don’t expect to pick up one of these inexpensively, at the lower end expect to pay around a thousand bucks but they can cost anything up to three thousand dollars for better quality versions. The price is based on the size of course and its thickness, so when it is more dense, the cost goes up.
To feel a more enriched experience you could obtain some accessories. These consist of memory foam pillows, leg spacers, bed back support and slippers for the bedroom as well as seat cushion or wedge when you are working in the office or on the road. The only way to recognize the value of the benefits of Temper Pedic Foam Mattress is when you use one, so make a beeline for the store or shop online but check out the prices and compare and then make your buying decision.
With a real life expectancy of ten years, each memory foam mattress is well worth the outlay both monetarily and for health reasons. If you want to be productive the day after tomorrow, you can only do so if you were able to get a high-quality night’s sleep the night before. This can occur of course because the bed conforms to your body and yet again is just one of the various benefits of the memory foam mattress so if you don’t possess it yet, perhaps it is time to get one. They do cost more but their significance in wellbeing terms cannot be challenged.

Everyone is aware that Rhode Island, actually the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, is the smallest state in the USA. But not everyone knows that the state and island that gives it a colloquially abbreviated name are not one and the same.
Indeed, the Rhode Island part of the longest state name in America is unofficially called Aquidneck Island to distinguish from the state as a whole.
Now that’s cleared up, what of Aquidneck Island? It is the largest of several in Narragansett Bay, with its southern shore overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The area of this well developed island is 117 sq km (45 sq ml) and it is connected to the mainland by three bridges.
The Newport Bridge terminates at Jamestown on nearby Conanicut Island, and then on to the mainland on the western side of the bay. The Mount Hope Bridge in Portsmouth connects the northern side of the island with Bristol. The same area is served by the Sakonnet River Bridge over a narrow saltwater channel to Tiverton. The nearby Stone Bridge was destroyed by Hurricane Carol in 1954. The island is divided into three municipalities: Newport, Middleton and Portsmouth.
The island’s population shrank by 20 percent in the 10 years after the US Navy reorganized its major base at Newport in 1973, but is growing again, with over half its area now built over as housing demand increases. But wetland and woodland still occupy a third of the island and there is an active preservation society trying to keep it that way.
After the navy base, the island’s principal source of revenue is tourism. Narragansett Bay is a honeypot for visitors and they come to Aquidneck Island mainly for the beaches and coastline, enjoying related aquatic activities like boating, kayaking, sailboarding, diving and fishing.

How often has your relative emailed an AVI video clip but you couldn’t view it because you are missing the right program? Or, wouldn’t it be neat if you were able to display your favorite videos to your web site? To do this, then you’ll need a Windows Media Video file format. But, what if you only have AVI format videos on your computer? Unfortunately, the AVI format is too large to stream online.
In order for you to stream your AVI videos on your site, you will need to find a Video Converter, such as uSeesoft Total Video Converter. With this software, you are able to convert video files between all the major popular video files including MPEG, WMV, DivX, 3GP and VOB.
Total video converters are a nice tool for converting audio and video files to a variety of different formats. You can convert a plethora of file videos to AVI, WMV, DivX, MOV and VOB. You will discover that some feature a built-in DVD-burning tool, a batch-conversion feature, as well as a preview pane. These tools are usually easy to use and powerful enough for experts. Most support almost all video formats, including MPEG, FLV, MP4, 3GP, VCD, DVD and VOB. Some also include a powerful video decompress/compress engine that converts entire AVI movies to DVD in about an hour. Better still, you can generally download a free trial version of the software and test it to ensure it will convert your desired file from one format to any other. Download and try several of the complimentary versions. When you locate the right program that easily converts your video, you can activate the full-blown version — the ultimate in Try It Before You Buy.
Some of these trial programs are integrated with a step by step wizard. You can actually get paid to give away free downloads of popular software programs. Basically it works this way, a visitor to your website downloads a free version of the product. When they upgrade or purchase the full software, you receive a finders fee. It’s just as simple as it sounds. A well made, properly fitted wetsuit goes a long way in maximizing your enjoyment of water sports. Whether you’re involved in scuba, jet skiing, surfing or triathlons, there are things you should consider before investing in high-tech water gear. Start with these 7 questions:
- What is the chief purpose for my suit? Is it warmth, protection from abrasions, buoyancy, or protection from the sun? Buy gear specifically suited for your sport.
- What price range can I afford? Do your homework, and don’t forget to factor in shipping costs and the value of a good warranty. Luxury wetsuits come with extra features. Look for a design you can live with at a price you can afford. A Billabong wetsuit such as the Solution Gold 5/4/3 mm Steamer, for example, is a full bodysuit treated with Dry Max Coating and made with the company’s second generation Superflex neoprene - reportedly “the most advanced stretch material on the market today.” The wetsuit also features Gold Hollow Fiber Brushed Tricot Thermal Material in the back and chest panel. It runs in the $245 range. You can find an O Neill wetsuit or a Ripcurl wetsuit with similar features.
- Is the wetsuit made of multi-directional fabric that will give in the right places, allowing ease of movement? Surfers need a wetsuit with super-stretch neoprene (30-100%) to allow for mobility while throwing tricks. A jet ski junkie in New England, however, might be looking for a suit that conserves body heat - something with thicker neoprene specs.
- Where are seams placed on the wetsuit? Chafing is a real issue, especially when raw skin and salt water kiss. Body gear suitable for windsurfing might not be comfortable for surfers who have to paddle their boards out to meet waves. Take note of seam placement. Also look for terms like “flat-lock stitching,” which is appropriate for warm water above 62 degrees F. “Glued and blind-stitched seams” are narrower and seal out cold water 55 degrees F and up. “Sealed and taped seams” add increased durability and prevent seepage in water below 55 degrees F.
- Do I need a warm or a cool-water suit? Is the material light enough for scorching days at El Martillo or designed for semi-dry protection needed for kayaking Alaska’s waterways in the fall? Check the thickness of the material which usually ranges from 2 millimeters of neoprene for warm-weather suits up to 4-6 millimeters of material for cold-water environments.
- Do I need booties, gloves or a hood? They’ll add to the cost.
- Is the suit loose, snug or tight? Snug is where you want to be. If it’s too tight, your movements will be restricted and you will chafe. If it’s too loose, heat conservation will be minimized, and the bodysuit may slide around hindering range of motion. Pay close attention to sizing charts. If possible, go to a store and try the wetsuit on. Many reputable businesses let you try out the wetsuit in the water and permit size exchanges.

There are about 146,000 legal practitioners working in Germany. A German legal practitioner either works as a self-employed professional or as an employee of a law association. The lawyer is an independent organ of the legal system. As a customer persons have the right to choose their preferred lawyer absolutely freely. This webpage contains a register of attorneys assorted by German cities: Rechtsanwaelte Mannheim.
Your attorney is independent of any instructions of third parties and should only chase your specific needs. She or he may not reveal information of the clients case to unauthorized persons. Additionally, lawyers have the right to make binding statements on the customers behalf. Thus it is very important to mandate an advocate whom you really trust. German counselors-at-law can be looked for in special registers of attorneys. Besides using Internet directories customers can find the right lawyer by studying the local press or by asking friends for references.
The German advocate can act as a specialist or as a generalist. As our world is becoming more and more complicated, it could be a good idea to look for a lawyer who is specialized in a specific area of law. There are for example specialized attorneys for family law (divorces etc.), employment law, tax law, insurance law, inheritance law, road traffic law, medical law and several others.
Before authorizing a counselor-at-law customers should think about the charges. A good legal protection insurance relieves your passage to the advocate. Before consulting the advocate, the consumer can ask the legal cost risk insurance if they agree to accept the charges from the first advice and consultation of the attorney. Then your attorney needs not to charge any advance payment, and can concentrate entirely upon your problem. It is not mandatory to visit different legal expenses insurance providers by oneself when trying to find the best solution.
Everyone once can get involved in a legal dispute and might need legal advice. Then it is comfortable if the consumer does not have to worry about the expenses. Often legitimate claims are not pursued because of fear of the cost risk. Likewise, a legal defense against unwarranted claims is often not taken because of the threat of legal fees and court costs. The customer can arrange a defense assurance on individual needs and get only those fields in the assurance coverage which are most important. By arranging a cost sharing, one can reach nice savings in the current contribution payment for the legal protection assurance
Self-employed lawyers face the same problems as any other business owner. They are searching for possibilities to promote their businesses effectively and at low costs. The Internet offers many ways to accomplish that. There are already several indexes of German attorneys online. Some of them charge a one time rate, and some of them do recurring billing. Advocates should advertise their businesses in the following register of German attorneys: Rechtsanwalt Moenchengladbach. It is gratis at the time of this writing.

The Giuseppe Verdi Club of Rockford, IL has quite a bit of interesting historical background. 27 Italian-born Rockford men met above a North lst Street grocery store to form a social club for the purpose of continuing their friendship and companionship. The 27 men named the newly formed organization the Giuseppe Verdi society. They chose the four rooms above the grocery store at 758 North 1st Street as their clubrooms.
The organization was officially founded on September 9, 1918 under the title of the “Giuseppe Verdi Society.” The club was established in order to provide two main objectives.
l. To provide and maintain a lodge for the pleasure and recreation of its members.
2. To increase the spirit of brotherhood and good fellowship among its members.
During World War II, the club furnished free Sunday spaghetti dinners and dancing for soldiers. They were also very engaged in charitable programs for fund raising purposes to benefit such organizations as the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis and the Veterans’ Organizations.
The club has changed its clubhouse location over the course of the century. They left the grocery store location about five months after the club was chartered in 1918. They moved to their current North Madison Street location. The club had also purchased a frame house also on Madison Street. In 1930, they constructed the first part of what is now their modern spacious hall.
The first Verdi hall (Rockford Banquet Hall)was a structure 40 x 60 feet, but was remodeled in 1950 and a major addition was constructed as well.
The present building, which includes the 1930 structure, has a total of 16,200 square feet on two floors. Besides a lounge, the building features a large auditorium for private parties, modern kitchen facilities, a basement barroom, and outdoor recreational equipment.
The present building has lighted grounds overlooking the Rock River and has playground equipment for children, picnic tables, an outdoor summer pavilion, basketball courts, and boat docks.
The 90 year old Verdi Club Society has upheld the high standards set forth by their founding members to this day. Besides being a sponsor for local events such as the Festa Italiana held each year at Boylan High School, the club board committee continually keeps current members active with club picnics, golf playdays, steak dinners, bond dinners, and formal dances. It is one of the elite social clubs in Rockford today and will be for many generations in the future.
